Big 12 Podcast from ESPN.com

ESPN analyst Brock Huard says his preseason pick, Oklahoma State will win the Big 12, and it comes down to four reasons. You'll need ESPN Insider subscription to read the full story, but here's a look.

1. Offensive firepower ... they rank second in the nation in scoring with 49.2 points per game, second in passing yards with 395 yards per game, second in total yardage with more than 550 yards per game, and 11th in passing efficiency rating.

2. Winning the turnover battle Oklahoma State is plus-12 in the critically important category of turnover margin, having forced 20 takeaways, including 12 interceptions.

3. Negative plays The Cowboys are 13th nationally with 19 sacks on the season and tied for 18th with 46 TFL. In the coming weeks, the Cowboys will face quarterbacks James Franklin, Robert Griffin III, Seth Doege and Landry Jones, all capable of taking a defense apart if allowed to get in rhythm.

4. Defensive depth The Cowboys are currently on pace for 14 of their defenders to reach 25 tackles, and continuing to develop more tacklers and depth will be instrumental to the Cowboys' sustaining success. So, who does this Oklahoma State team compare with favorably? You might be surprised, but Oklahoma State fans will like it. Check it out.
