ESPN's David Ubben Likes Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State has assumed the role of Big 12 favorite, via its undefeated record, high-flying offense and home date against Oklahoma for the second consecutive year.

Big 12 Power Rankings: Week 9 - No. 1 Oklahoma State (7-0, 4-0, LW: 2): The Big 12 Power Rankings have a new No. 1 for the first time this season. Oklahoma State went up to Missouri and impressively took care of business against a good team, outrunning the Tigers by 21 points. Then, the Cowboys sat back and watched their rivals suffer one of the biggest upsets in league history. Not a bad Saturday for the boys in orange.

Gundy optimistic on Blackmon's return - Justin Blackmon sat out of most of Oklahoma State's victory Saturday over Missouri as a precautionary measure after getting "dinged" in the head.

The wide receiver appears likely to return Saturday, though, when the No. 3 Cowboys host Baylor.

"I expect him to be fine," coach Mike Gundy told reporters Sunday night. "They haven't done all those tests and things that they do — that takes place (Monday). But he's over here and walking around and he was normal to me."

Blackmon had eight catches for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 45-24 win before having his helmet confiscated and being benched.

"Justin got dinged in the head, and he's fine, but that young man's got too much in the future," Gundy told a sideline reporter after the game. "We were just not going to put him back in there."

Blackmon, who won the Biletnikoff Award last year as college football's top receiver, is third in the Big 12 with 662 yards and eight touchdowns on 61 catches.
