Former Cowboys Shine in the NFL

Several former Oklahoma State Cowboys continue to shine in the NFL. Sunday was no exception as the Cowboy connections made their impact felt.

The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions game was nearly an alumni event for Oklahoma State. Wide Receiver Dez Bryant, who was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated during his career at OSU, finished with two touchdowns and 37 yards on three catches. Kicker Dan Bailey was 3-for-3 with a 41-yarder for the Cowboys. Bailey finished the game with 12 points.

First-round pick Brandon Pettigrew had six receptions for 64 yards in the game for Detroit. Pettigrew, was the first tight end taken in the 2009 draft, played at OSU from 2005-08. The Lions pulled out a 34-30 victory.

Minnesota Viking Kevin Williams had two tackles today, including a tackle for loss. The Vikings lost to Kansas City, 22-17.

Running Back Kendall Hunter made his first career start for the San Francisco 49ers Sunday against Philadelphia. Hunter, who is in his rookie season, had nine carries for 38 yards including a long of 14 yards. He also had two catches for 62 yards with a 44-yarder.

St. Louis Ram Billy Bajema had two catches for 11 yards Sunday against the Washington Redskins. Bajema is in his seventh NFL season.

Defensively, Denver's Ryan McBean had three tackles including two solo. Antonio Smith with the Houston Texans had two tackles including a sack and tackle for loss.
